Street Fighter II has to be the all-time classic beat-‘em-up franchise that people around the world still adore and hold in the highest regard. So you can imagine Capcom’s dilemma having to face the challenge of re-creating that love, and steering clear of any changes that would repel dedicated fans.

The world got an energized renovation with Street Fighter IV. The 3D cel-shaded design, mixed with the 2D style backgrounds maintained the feel of Street Fighter 2, while bringing the characters into the 3D realm.
