Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) never expected his job at the American Museum of Natural History to be so crazy. A night guard might occasionally hear a mouse, but Larry was hearing much more, and also being attacked by a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton, and a naughty monkey. He discovered there’s a lot more to history than he thought, so when he hears that some of his old history friends Theodore Roosevelt (Robin Williams), Rexy and Pharaoh Ankmenrah are being transported to the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC, he takes a break from his now famous inventions company and goes for a visit.

It turns out the tablet that caused the museum’s historical inhabitants to come to life is also taken to the Smithsonian, and because of it, the evil Pharaoh Kahmunrah comes alive with a few millennia for his army of undead and him to catch up on. It’s up to Larry and his son to stop Kahmunrah before it’s too late. Historical newcomers Ivan the Terrible (Christopher Guest), Napoleon Bonaparte (Alain Chabat), Al Capone (Jon Bernthal) and Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams) join the circuit of fun.

The sequel to the success of the first film takes place in the biggest museum in the world. It’s a film for the whole family, with plenty of laughs that’ll make you contemplate visiting the museum just in case your Rexy comes to life.
