Beschreibung
Anna Fitzgerald (Abagail Breslin) was born vitro fertilization to be an exact genetic match for her older sister Kate (Sofia Vassilieva), who has leukaemia. She’s been put through vigorous tests since she was five to ensure Kate would get her kidney for a transplant when she needed it. When time finally comes, Anna sues her parents to get medical emancipation. What follows is a story about different family members dealing with one of their own dying, and the important lessons to learn about life.
Based on Nick Cassavetes’ book of the same name, My Sister’s Keeper is a touching story about a family dealing with cancer. Cameron Diaz plays the concerned mother Sara in a very convincing way. The story has heartbreak throughout, but the actors carry the story with such intensity, it’ll be hard for you keep your eyes dry.
